Men-Chocolates-Coffee

I have noticed a strange thing about myself. I wake up early in the winters when compared to summers.  The winters mornings are pretty. Same goes for the winter nights. Afternoons are such a drag.

Few minutes ago, one of my friends wrote ‘men, chocolate and coffee r better all rich ‘ on her Facebook status. 6 likes within 15 minutes. That makes me wonder, wonder a lot. I want to comment a few things there but I choose not to comment. However, I started writing this post. Could not resist myself.

Men-Chocolate-Coffee? Excuse me? I mean, generally men are compared with power and strength related stuffs; according to the sexist norms of the society. So, the girl here, MAYBE, considers men and women as equals. But no. The update further says all the three ‘commodities’ are good when they are rich. Rich chocolates, I understand, she is a cute girl who loves chocolates. As a matter of fact, rich chocolate is as devilish as the girl is. Isn’t this comparison better than the earlier one? Rich coffee! Umm.. this is something I like. Pure bliss on a cold morning. But, rich Men? Slightly out of the league. A man, rich or poor can comfort a girl on a winter morning and at the same time he can be as devilish as the rich chocolate.  So, the theory fails.

Now, the big question. Why do girls prefer rich men? Or, Do girls really prefer rich men? Or, Aren’t poor men more handsome? When I generalize the answer, it is, yes, girls prefer rich men. Why? Simple, everyone likes to be prosperous in life, what is wrong in that. Nothing wrong. When a girl looks for prosperity for her family to be, there is nothing wrong in it. Then, the sexist norms of the society are justified. We justified it, happily and richly.

Now, I turn things the other way. Just add a woe, I mean.. ‘wo‘,  ’women, chocolate and coffee r better all rich ‘ Repeat the same questions. Why do men prefer rich women? Or, Do a man really prefer rich woman? Or, Aren’t poor women more beautiful? The general answer, ‘she need not be rich, but she should be worth my love.’ Or, ‘मेरे ख्यालों की मलिका होनी चाहिए.’

Hell, men are better.
